Actually and simply we know that Earth consists of Land and Ocean, so Sea is part of Earth, According to the data, more general about 70% of Earth is water while other 30% is land (US Geological Society). So we will know there are massive different Species of animals living in the Sea when some of animals and Human live on the land. If sea has been polluted with like toxic sea or called poison sea, there must be a lot of species in sea to be dead as our neighborhood. How pity for these biology! And as human, may dominate earth, would be so horrible. Let us read and know how we killing the sea life:
OSLO (Reuters) – The world’s oceans are under greater threat than previously considered from a”deadly trio” of global warming, decreasing oxygen levels and acidification, an global research said on Thursday.
The oceans have continued to heat, forcing many commercial fish stocks involving the sticks and increasing the danger of extinction for many marine species, even though a slower rate of temperatures rises in the air that this century,” it said.
“Risks to the ocean and the ecosystems it supports have been significantly underestimated,” in accordance with the International Program me on the State of the Ocean (IPSO), a non-governmental set of top scientists.
The oceans are heating due to warmth in the build-up of greenhouse gases in the air. Fertilizers and sewage which wash into the seas may cause blooms of algae which decrease oxygen levels in the oceans. And carbon dioxide from the atmosphere can produce a weak acid when it reacts with sea water.
Plastics: A prime issue
“Marine plastic debris is a slow motion catastrophe waiting to happen,” cautioned Indonesia’s Maritime Union Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan.Plastics and microplastics plastic particles under 5mm in diameter are one of the greatest threats to the sea and marine life. A World Economic Forum study cautions that by 2050 the seas could comprise more plastics than fish.
The ocean is filled with manmade products, such as water bottles, plastic shopping bags, cigarette butts, and bigger items from fishing baits to sunken vessels. All of it poses a threat to marine life via entanglement, ingestion or leakage of harmful substances.
“The ultimate way to keep marine debris from becoming a threat is by preventing it from entering the ocean in the first place,” explained Nancy Wallace, Director of the Marine Debris Program in the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) for the United States.
Including getting the people to reduce or eliminate its use of plastic shopping bags, cutlery and bottled drinks. In the Pacific, in which the sea covers 90% of the area and property is just two percentage, leaders are trying to find cleaner oceans by 2025.
Kosi Latu of the Secretariat of the Pacific Regional Environment Program said his team did a recent study that analyzed 215 species of marine life. They discovered 136 forms had consumed plastic, and also in fish, the figure was 97 percent. He noticed that at the Pacific the speed is about 30 percent greater than the worldwide average of approximately 67 percent.”The challenge is implementing, enforcing policies; it is enforcing legislation,” Latu stated. He said that his area is also considering innovative policies, not merely banning plastics.
